Forth Bridge
The Forth Railway Bridge spans the Firth of River Forth Estuary and links Fife to Edinburgh by rail.
The Forth Bridge was opened in 1890 and is 2,529m long and still is the world's longest multispan cantilever bridge.
Advanced civil engineering design principles and construction methods along with it's striking red colour ensure that this bridge still holds worldwide recognition.
Art and Prints of the Forth Railway Bridge
Emily loves to visit Scotland and regularly travels across this iconic bridge. She chose to paint Forth Railway Bridge as part of her Scottish collection. She did not use 240,000 litres of paint which is the usual amount required to paint it!
The bridge is rendered in its striking shade of red. In contrast the skies and estuary below are described using gentle washes of pink and lilac. Emily then finishes off the work using her signature splashes of vibrant colours. Bright, colourful and fun splashes of paint really add an upbeat feel to this lovely art print.
The original artwork of the Forth Railway Bridge is reproduced as Canvas Prints, Limited Edition Prints and Mini Prints available from Emily's website.
