Alnwick Castle Summer framed ceramic tile has been designed from an original painting by North East artist Emily Ward. All ceramic tiles are printed and hand pressed in Emily's art studio, where she hand finishes every tile.
Alnwick Castle stands proudly on the luscious greens of the gardens on Emily’s framed ceramic tile. The warming blues, purples and yellow that cover the trees invite you towards the historic castle.
Soft purple shades from the colourful reeds cast a lovely hue over the castle outline that reflects across the waters surface.

Alnwick Castle Summer
Alnwick Castle
in Northumberland has over 900 years of history. Originally constructed in the 11th century to control and protect the borders from Scottish invasion following the Norman conquest. The castle boasted 2 metre thick walls, a 7 metre deep moat, two baileys and thick oak gates as part of its defense.
The Grade I listed building has been renovated and remodelled numerous times over the years and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Northumberland.
Ceramic Framed Tile
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
Frames are available in White and Black Frames.
