Alnwick Castle Summer limited edition print has been created from an original painting by Emily Ward, an artist from Newcastle. This delightful art print is also available framed.
Emily has painted the historic Alnwick Castle with a warm golden tone that is bathed in soft light. The sky above is a mixture of blue and purple hues which create a dreamy effect on this art print.
The outline of the castle reflects over the soft purple colours that ripple across the water's surface. The long grasses and reeds have been given a burst of colour in the foreground.

The 11th century Alnwick Castle is the second largest inhabited castle after Windsor Castle in the country. Alnwick Castle is in the beautiful county of Northumberland and has over 900 years worth of history.
The castle has a blend of architectural styles from medieval fortifications, to Georgian interiors.
The castle which has been used in the Harry Potter films, is home to the Duke of Northumberland. The castle has been owned by the Percy family since 1309.
The original castle was a wooden structure built by Ivo de Vesci the Baron of Alnwick. The historic castle has seen many restorations and expansions over the years and is now a major tourist attraction in Northumberland
