Ashton Memorial - Framed Ceramic Tile
Emily Ward has created this bright, beautiful Ashton Memorial painting. She was originally approached by a small gift shop based in Lancaster. The shop wanted to sell a Lancaster gift range which was unique from any other shop in the area.
Emily designed a piece of Ashton Memorial Art which the gift shop was delighted with. The Ashton Memorial painting is Emily’s usual bright style. She has added lots of Lancashire roses in front of the Ashton Memorial adding colour and depth to the image.
The Ashton Memorial gift range is now available online. Have a look here.
About Ashton Memorial
Aston Memorial is a Grade 1 listed building. The building was commissioned by Lord Ashton. Lord Ashton was an industrialist. He built the Memorial as a tribute to his late wife who was called Jessy.
Ashton Memorial was designed by John Belcher and was completed in 1909.
The building is particularly famous for its dome which is made from copper. The dome can be seen for miles around the city.
Ceramic Framed Tile
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
Frames are available in White and Black Frames.
Each frame is 27 x 27 x 5cm
Colours may vary as each tile is printed individually.
