Bamburgh Castle Framed Ceramic Tile is a beautiful painting by local North East artist Emily Ward.
Emily has perfectly captured the coastal setting of Bamburgh Castle, standing proud above the North Sea. The vivid blues of the water reflect the beige stone colours of the castle, highlighted by the white sea spray.
This gorgeous painting of Bamburgh Castle is one of many in Emily’s Northumberland gift range. To view this framed ceramic tile and many more of Emily’s North East art, view HERE.
About Bamburgh Castle
Bamburgh Castle is located on the northeast coast of England and is a Grade I listed building. Bought by William George Armstrong in 1894, the castle now houses his unique, well-loved collection of artwork and ceramics.
The castle was home to a succession of kings from Henry VI to James I, and was the first castle in the world to fall to gunpowder in the Wars of the Roses. For over 1400 years, it has stood guard over the Northumberland coast, and today visitors enjoy both Bamburgh Castle and its views. The Farne Islands and Holy Islands can also be seen from the castle, recognised as England’s finest coastal fortress.
Ceramic Framed Tile
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
Frames are available in White and Black Frames.
Each frame is 27 x 27 x 5cm
Colours may vary as each tile is printed individually.
