Bamburgh Castle Summer Bone China Cup is from original art by Emily Ward a local North East artist. All bone china cups are printed and hand pressed in Emily's art studio.
The grand and imposing Bamburgh castle sits high on the hill overlooking the dark moody colours of the sea on Emily’s art cup. Golden sands blend in with the warm earthy tones of the castle giving it a timeless appearance.
The sky is a soft blend of pastel hues transitioning from gentle blue at the top to a pinkish purple near the horizon. Light specks of paint enhance the the explosion of colourful flowers at the foreground of this painting by Emily Ward.

Bamburgh Castle is located on the northeast coast of England and is a Grade I listed building. Bought by William George Armstrong in 1894, the castle now houses his unique, well-loved collection of artwork and ceramics.
The castle was home to a succession of kings from Henry VI to James I, and was the first castle in the world to fall to gunpowder in the Wars of the Roses. For over 1400 years, it has stood guard over the Northumberland coast, and today visitors enjoy both Bamburgh Castle and its views. The Farne Islands and Holy Island can also be seen from the castle, recognised as England’s finest coastal fortress.
