Bamburgh Castle Summer Ceramic Tile with Easel
Bamburgh Castle Summer ceramic tile with easel is by North East artist Emily Ward. The ceramic tile has been created from an original painting by Emily and is hand pressed locally in her art studio.
Emily’s painting of Bamburgh Castle standing proudly on the vibrant green hill is rich with colour on this art ceramic tile.
The golden tones on the sandy beach in front of the castle lead you down to the sea which is a deep purple colour.
The foreground is an explosion of wildflowers, with tall stems in yellow and green stretching upwards. White daisies with orange centres stand out against the darker hues of the purple and blue flowers.

Bamburgh Castle stands proudly over the village of Bamburgh as one of the many Northumberland castles in the North East. It has a vast history and has stood guard over the coast for over 1400 years.
Today, visitors can enjoy the gorgeous views of the Farne Islands and Holy Island as well as the castle’s history. Bamburgh Castle is also recognised as England’s finest coastal fortress, as well as a Grade I listed building.
Visionary inventor, philanthropist and industrialist William George Armstrong purchased the castle in 1894. He began to transform it into his vision of the archetypal castle.
Each ceramic tile is made from an original painting by North East Artist Emily Ward.
