Bass Rock in the Firth of Forth is situated near to North Berwick. The volcanic rock rises 106 meters above sea level, has a circumference of 1 mile and has three sides of sheer rock.
A natural tunnel runs through the rock which is only accessible at low tide.
Bass rock has a rich history and has been used as a castle, a prison and a hermitage. It is now home and a nesting ground to thousands of seabirds, including one of the largest colonies of garnets.
Each Canvas Print is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your canvas is actually a print no two prints are identical. Emily hand finishes the canvas prints by adding extra paint to the print.
