Bass Rock is a steep crag that is situated in the Firth of Forth. It lies approx 3 miles from North Berwick.
Bass Rock rises 106 meters above the sea level and is an important nesting ground for seabirds. The immense rock is protected as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
It is home to shags, guillemots, razorbills, cormorants, puffins, eider ducks, and the world’s largest colony of northern gannets. Sir David Attenborough claims that Bass Rock is one of the ‘wildlife wonders of the world’.
