Brig o'Doon framed ceramic tile by North East local artist Emily Ward, is from one of her paintings of her artwork from Scotland.
The framed ceramic tile shows the famous Brig o'Doon standing proud underneath a tranquil purple evening sky. The rich blues of the River Doon flow gently underneath this cobbled medieval bridge.
Beautiful pink and red flowers on the river bank add texture to this delightful canvas print. The warming colours in this art print really add to it's charm.
Imagine walking over this historical medieval bridge whilst reciting Tom O'Shanter.... .

Brig o'Doon is a single arched cobbled medieval bridge that crosses the River Doon in Alloway in Ayrshire. Built in the 14th century.
Brig is the Scottish word for bridge, Brig o'Doon is the bridge over the River Doon.
Robert Burns used this as his setting in the final verse of the famous Tom o'Shanter poem. This is the bridge that Tam o’ Shanter raced across on horseback, fleeing from the witches and warlocks .
