Brig o'Doon Mini Print
Brig o'Doon mini print by local North East artist Emily Ward is from an original painting of this famous cobbled bridge.
Emily's art print is full of uplifting colours. The soft purple haze in the sky casts a warming glow over the medieval bridge. Rich pink flowers grow wildly on the river bank.

This late medieval bridge in Ayrshire, Scotland is also referred to as the Auld Brig or Old bridge of Doon.
Brig is the Scottish word for bridge and it is the River Doon that the bridge stands on, hence 'Brig o'Doon.
The bridge was built early in the fifteenth century and was rebuilt in the 1700's. This is the bridge that 'Tom o'Shanter' raced over in the famous poem by Robert Burns.
Mini prints are signed and titled by the artist.
