Brig o'Doon Postcard
Brig o'Doon art postcard by local North East artist Emily Ward is from an original painting of this famous cobbled bridge.
Emily's art print is full of uplifting colours. The soft purple haze in the sky casts a warming glow over the medieval bridge. Rich pink flowers grow wildly on the river bank.

Brig o'Doon
Brig o'Doon is an original 15th century cobblestone bridge, that crosses the River Doon in the south end of Alloway in Ayrshire. The word Brig means bridge in Scottish. The bridge is also known as 'Auld Brig' and Old Bridge of Doon.
Brig o'Doon provided the setting for 'Tom o'Shanter' one of Robert Burns most famous poems. This is the bridge that Tom o'Shanter raced across on horseback whilst fleeing from the warlocks and witches.
