Canterbury Cathedral postcard is by North East artist Emily Ward from her art portfolio of the South East.
Fresh, burning colours light up the dawn sky and the promise of a new day breaking over Canterbury cathedral on Emily Ward's art postcard.
The Romanesque and Gothic architecture glows with sunlight and is speckled with a pop of colour. Dainty little flowers add a softness to the imposing building.

Cathedral Canterbury in Kent is a breath-taking mixture of Romanesque and Gothic architecture. It has been the seat of the spiritual head of the Church of England for nearly five centuries.
It is one of the oldest Christian structures in England and forms part of a World Heritage Site.
Following the murder of Archbishop Thomas Becket in 1170 AD and his subsequent canonisation it became a place of pilgrimage.
The exceptional stained glass windows and the rebuilding of the choir and transepts followed the fire of 1174.
