Canterbury Cathedral fridge magnet has been designed by Emily Ward, an artist from the North East. This art fridge magnet is locally hand pressed in Emily's art studio.
Emily has given the imposing Gothic Cathedral in Canterbury a burst of colour. Golden rays of sunshine fill the sky with rich oranges which turn to glowing reds. These colours look lovely and vibrant on this art fridge magnet.
Relaxing little pink flowers and dainty daisies cover the ground in front of this historic church.

St Augustine was sent by Pope Gregory the Great, and arrived in Canterbury around 597AD. He was a missionary who became the first Archbishop of Canterbury.
In 1170 Archbishop Thomas Becket was murdered in the Cathedral and since then the Cathedral has attracted thousands of pilgrims, as told most famously in Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. The Cathedral has always had a tradition of welcoming visitors that dates back to the days of medieval pilgrimages. It remains one of the oldest and most famous Christian places in the country.
The Cathedral houses a Romanesque Crypt which dates back to the 11th century, a 12th century early Gothic Quire and a 14th Century Perpendicular Nave. Beautiful medieval stained glass windows illustrate miracles and stories associated with St Thomas
