Carew Castle ceramic tile and easel is by Emily Ward, an artist from the North East. This art gift is printed and hand pressed locally in her studio near Newcastle.
Emily's art ceramic tile has been set against a colourful and magical sky. The pink, yellow and purple tones of the evening sky cast a warming glow over the castle ruins.
The rich greens of the grass are speckled with colour which reflect over the stillness of the millpond. Bright bursts of colour from the dainty flowers in the foreground add a dreamy feel to this art.

Carew Castle is set in a stunning location in Pembrokeshire. The historic castle overlooks a large millpond and has many architectural styles. From the north it is a splendid Elizabethan mansion and from the west it is a Norman fortress.
The Norman castle was originally built in 1100 by Gerald de Windsor, a Norman leader, only the central tower of this remains. It is thought there was a settlement on the site before that.
The castle is now a ruin however many of its unique features remain and it has undergone extensive restoration.
