Cat and Dog Stairs Framed Ceramic Tile was originally painted by North East local artist Emily Ward.
From a ground perspective, the steep staircase is painted with dramatic dark colours, coming up from the water’s edge. Emily’s use of white paint splatters to represent the sea spray shows the waves crashing against the railings. A slight pink tone in the sky suggests a nearby sunset, or a hint of sun. The stairs have been painted to look as though water is trickling down.

Ceramic Framed Tile
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
Frames are available in White and Black Frames.
Each frame is 27 x 27 x 5cm
Colours may vary as each tile is printed individually.
