Cheddar Gorge framed ceramic tile has been designed from original artwork by North East artist Emily Ward. All ceramic tiles are printed and hand pressed in Emily's art studio, where she hand finishes every tile.
Emily's towering pinnacles have a warming pink glow that radiates through the impressive natural gorge. Emily has also given the iconic landscape a pop of colour, as little splashes of pink blend subtly into her painting.
The golden sun casts beams of light which turn the sky a beautiful rich shade of orange on this scenic framed ceramic tile.
Emily's hand pressed ceramic tile is available in a white or black frame.

Cheddar Gorge
in Somerset is regarded as the finest example of a limestone gorge in Britain. The gorge is on the southern edge of the Mendip Hills. The maximum depth of the gorge is 450 feet, with a near-vertical cliff-face to the south, and steep grassy slopes to the north.
The cliffs support many valuable semi-natural habitats and is home to a wide range of plant species, many of them rare.
At the lower end of the gorge are two of Britain's oldest subterranean stalactite show caves. The gorge and caves together attract half a million visitors a year.
The name Cheddar comes from the Old English word ceodor, meaning deep dark cavity or pouch.
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
