Clifford's Tower art fridge magnet has been produced from original artwork by Emily Ward, an artist from the North East. The art fridge magnet is locally printed and hand pressed in Emily's art studio.
Emily's characteristic splashes of yellow, pink and white paint gentle cover the yellowing stone ruins of the medieval castle ruins.
The steep and winding steps up to the ancient castle keep are lined with bright yellow sunshine flowers on Emily's art magnet.

Clifford's Tower is the largest remaining structure of York Castle. Originally built of timber in 1068 by William the Conqueror, it's purpose was to control northern England. It stood as a proud symbol of the power of England's medieval kings
After it was burned down in a horrible massacre in the 1190, King Henry III arranged for the rebuilding of York Castle by Master Henry the Mason in the 13th century.
By the 19th century, Clifford's Tower was all that remained of York Castle
