Clifford's Tower framed ceramic tile has been designed by Emily Ward an artist from the North East. It has been created from original artwork from her Yorkshire art print and gift range. The ceramic tile will be printed locally and finished by hand by Emily in her studio.
Emily's art print of this iconic landmark in York city stands proud under a bright blue sky filled with feathery clouds. The vibrant and cheery yellow flowers that surround the ancient castle keep look lovely with the glaze of the ceramic tile.
A splash of pinks, whites and yellow add a burst of colour to this art gift.

Clifford's Tower has stood guard over the city of York from 1245 until the present day. Clifford’s Tower is the largest remaining building of York Castle, northern England’s greatest medieval royal fortress.
York's iconic historical monument is steeped in a thousand years of history. The raised mound that it stands on was once the site of a timber keep that had been built by William the Conqueror. This was destroyed in 1190.
Clifford’s Tower has been a royal mint, a medieval stronghold and a Civil War garrison.
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
Frames are available in White and Black Frames.
Each frame is 27 x 27 x 5cm
Colours may vary as each tile is printed individually.
