A dazzling bright and warming sun wakes up behind the impressive Gothic spire of Coventry Cathedral on Emily Ward's art bone china cup. The sunlight shines brightly over the stained glass windows of this impressive cathedral.
Red poppies grow wildly in the forefront amongst the long blades of grass which have been given a lovely hint of blue and yellow.

Coventry Cathedral in The Midlands is a mix of medieval history, modern architecture and a constant reminder of the effects of war.
There have been three cathedrals in Coventry over a 1000 year period. The tower took 20 years to build from 1373, the spire was added in 1433.
The second Cathedral of St Michael was hit by bombs on the 14th November 1940 during the second world war. The Tower and Spire survived and you can walk through the bombed cathedral ruins.
The third cathedral was designed by Basil Spencer and is a Grade I listed building. The foundation stone of the third cathedral was laid by Queen Elizabeth II in 1956. The two cathedrals stand side by side.
Each bone china cup is made from an original artwork by North East Artist Emily Ward.
