Coventry Cathedral framed ceramic tile has been designed from original artwork by artist Emily Ward. All ceramic tiles are printed and hand pressed in Emily's art studio near Newcastle, where she hand finishes every tile.
The stained glass windows glisten with the bright rays of the sunshine reflecting off them on Emily's framed ceramic tile. Emily has given Coventry Cathedral a burst of colour as the golden sun rises behind the Gothic spire.
Rich red poppies flutter about behind splashes of yellow and white paint enticing you up towards the mix of old and new of Coventry Cathedral.
Emily's hand pressed ceramic tile is available in a white or black frame and would make a lovely addition to any wall.

Coventry Cathedral
The new Cathedral of St Michael
stands proudly next to the ruins of the cathedral destroyed during the Coventry Blitz during the Second World War. The new cathedral was designed by Sir Basil Spence and the foundation stone was laid by Queen Elizabeth II on 23rd March 1956.
The cathedral was built adjacent to the bombed ruins as a reminder of the destruction of war and a symbol for peace and reconciliation. The cathedral features works by some of the greatest artists of the 1950’s and 60’s, including a giant tapestry designed by the artist Graham Sutherland.
You can still climb the 295ft Tower which survived the bombing, where you can get a magnificent view from the third highest Cathedral spire in the UK.
Ceramic Framed Tile
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
Frames are available in White and Black Frames.
