The beautiful morning sun rises for the day behind the impressive Coventry Cathedral. Golden tones of sunshine cover the soft blues of the skyline on Emily Ward's art ceramic pendant.
Dainty little poppies add a burst of colour to the greenery in front of the cathedral.

The rich history of Coventry and its three Cathedral’s, in the Heart of England spans nearly 1000 years.
The first cathedral of which there are a few ruins remaining was called St Mary’s and was built in the 12th century. The next was a 14th century Gothic church named St Michael’s, it was given cathedral status in 1918. This was bombed in the Coventry blitz during the second World War, the tower, spire and outer wall survived.
Todays Coventry Cathedral also called St Michael’s was built in 1962, and stands proud next to the ruins. The ruins were preserved as a constant reminder of the destruction of war.
Each hanging decoration is made from original artwork by North East Artist Emily Ward.
