Coventry Cathedral Open Edition Print
Coventry Cathedral open edition print has been created by Emily Ward an artist from the North East. This lovely art print is also available framed.
Rich red poppies flutter amongst the green and blue blades of grass, inviting you to walk up towards the mix of old and new of Coventry Cathedral.
The stained glass windows glisten with the vibrant rays of sunshine that reflect off them on Emily's art print. Emily has given Coventry Cathedral a burst of colour as the golden sun rises behind the Gothic spire.

There have been three cathedral’s in Coventry in the Heart of England for 1000 years. The first medieval church was built in the 12th century, the second in the 14th century and the third was built in 1962.
Coventry and its second Cathedral was hit by several incendiary bombs on the 14th November 1940, during WW2. The Cathedral spire and Gothic Tower survived, the new Cathedral of St Michael was built adjacent to the ruins. The cathedral tower is the third highest in the UK, you can climb the 180 steps for magnificent views over the city.
The cathedrals stand side by side in unity as a reflection of the horrors of war but also as a reminder of peace and rebuilding.
The north aisle in the cathedral has many coins from 1962, the year of construction, laid into the floor. The coins are there so the clergy and choir members can follow a straight line in a neat procession.
Open edition prints are signed and titled by the artist.
