About Cullercoats Harbour
Cullercoats Harbour
is a semi-circular beach with six caves and many cliffs. In the past, it was a thriving fishing port in the 1800s, and is now a popular seaside to visit.
Historically, Cullercoats village depended on fishing and exportation of salt and coal, and the harbour and pier were constructed to help trade. However, with the decline of the salt industry and growth of the railways, Cullercoats harbour was used less.
Nowadays, Cullercoats Harbour is used for paddle boarding, and is home of Dove Marine Laboratory. This forms the School of Marine Science in Newcastle University. As well as this, it is a popular tourist attraction for visitors to Cullercoats and a well-loved beach for local residents.

Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
Frames are available in White and Black Frames.
Each frame is 27 x 27 x 5cm
Colours may vary as each tile is printed individually.
