Eilean Donan Castle greeting card is from Emily Ward, a local North East artist, original painting of this icon of a castle.
The blues and lilac haze of the sky cast a tranquil reflection of purple hues across the Loch. Emily's painting is of this picturesque castle standing proud amidst the rich greens of the Western Highlands of Scotland.

Eilean Donan Castle lies on a tiny tidal island at the confluence of three sea lochs in the Western Highlands. Near to The Kyle of Lochalsh the castle looks out towards the Isle of Skye.
The first castle was built in the 13th century and it has been rebuilt at least four times since then. The castle and island was bought and restored in 1911 after lying empty for 200 years by Lieutenant Colonel John MacRae-Gilstrap.
