The Five Arches are a famous landmark situated on the city walls at Tenby in Pembrokeshire.
The Tenby town walls are Grade I-listed medieval defensive structures around the town of Tenby. They are regarded to be one of the most important surviving medieval city walls in Britain. The walls were built in the 13th century by the Earls of Pembroke and improved in the 1450s.
The wall's most impressive feature is an outer Barbican tower which controlled the access to the West Gate. The outer tower is pierced by five rounded archways, which gives it the name 'Five Arches'.
