Boat on the Tyne print was painted originally by Emily Ward, a local North East artist.
Inspired by a local North Shields fisherman who invited Emily to do painting of his pride and joy and also his livelihood, his fishing boat. The commission was transferred onto canvas for all to enjoy.
Emily's painting captures the dark skies with flashes of light cutting across through the clouds. The rough choppy seas of a cold winter morning can be seen as the fishing trawler cuts through the swell of the water leaving a trail of sea spray in its wake.
About Frem on the Tyne
The two piers proudly guarding the Mouth of the Tyne can be seen lit up with the white of the spindrift of the waves. The trawler is navigating its way back up the River Tyne to unload its catch at North Shields fish quay.
Boat on the Tyne is a powerful picture and is available in a variety of gifts and prints. To view these and many more from our North East gift range please see HERE
