Inner Farne Island Lighthouse
Inner Farne is the largest of the Farne Islands
at 16 acres, in the summer months it is home to thousands of nesting seabirds. Home to St Cuthbert in the year 678 and a church was built on the island in 1370 and dedicated to his memory. Apart from the lighthouse all the buildings on Inner Farne date from the monastic period.
The lighthouse is situated on the southern tip of Inner Farne and was built in the early 19th century.
