LLangollen is in the beautiful county of Denbighshire in North East Wales. Llangollen Bridge which spans the River Dee was first built around 1284.
The monument consists of the remains of the bridge which dates back to medival times. The current bridge is said to have been built in the 16th century and has been attributed to one of the two bishops, John Trefor (bishop 1346 -1347) or John Trefor II (1394 - 1408). The bridge has been widened since.
The bridge is one of the 'seven wonders of Wales' and is a Grade I listed building.
