Lincoln Cathedral Greeting Card

Lincoln Cathedral greeting card is from North East artist Emily Ward's beautiful range of art cards. This greeting card has been created from original artwork by Emily. All greeting cards are printed locally in Newcastle.

Emily has given the impressive Gothic Lincoln Cathedral a splash of colour. Pretty little colourful flowers grow merrily in front of the historic cathedral with its imposing high tower and spires.

The soft shades of blue in the sky are speckled with dots of colour which contemplate the warming colours of the stonework.

Lincoln Cathedral

With a history of over 950 years, the Gothic styled Lincoln Cathedral is an iconic landmark in the Midlands. It is the fourth largest cathedral in the UK.

The cathedral is home to one of the four remaining copies of the Magna Carta that survives today. King John sealed the historic charter on the 15th June in 1215. It is owned by the cathedral and is displayed in Lincoln Castle.

Christopher Wren, a renowned architect, designed the Wren Library at the cathedral in the 17th century. The library displays many historic texts and a selection of the cathedral’s earliest printed book.
