Maryport
Maryport Lighthouse
is a small lighthouse located in the town of Maryport on the Solway Firth in Cumbria. The lighthouse stands proudly adjacent to the Marina.
The original Maryport lighthouse was built in 1796, with the current structure dating from 1846. The old lighthouse is no longer operational and was restored in 2017.
The painter L. S. Lowry used Maryport and the lighthouse in several of his paintings.
