The National Trust Shop in York framed ceramic tile is by Emily Ward from her Yorkshire art print and gift range. The ceramic tiles are printed and hand pressed in Emily's studio in the North East.
A golden glow of sunlight shines bright over the historic arch next to the gift shop. A gentle pink hue can be seen on the roof top adding warmth to this art gift.
Splashes of colour cover the branches of the overhanging tree, giving the impression that it is full of dainty purple and white leaves.

The National Trust Shop on Goodramgate in York is situated just around the corner from Treasurer's House. From the historic precinct you have a view looking over York Minster.
Archive material shows there has been a shop and information centre on the site dating back to 1930.
The archway at the front once formed one of four entrances to the York Minster precinct. With timbers dating back to the late 12th century, it’s the last remaining entrance left standing today.
Frank green a wealthy industrialist donated the building to the National Trust in 1969 along with Treasurer's House and other important buildings in York.
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
Frames are available in White and Black Frames.
Each frame is 27 x 27 x 5cm
Colours may vary as each tile is printed individually.
