Nostell Priory in West Yorkshire was built on the site of medieval monastery around 1733 by the Winn Family.
The house showcases interiors designed by Robert Adam, a world-class Thomas Chippendale collection, a rare 18th century dolls' house, a delightful painting of Sir Thomas More and his family, one of the first longcase clocks made by the famous inventor, John Harrison and the intricately decorated Hongs punch bowl.
With 300 acres of parkland and gardens to explore at this National Trust property, it is a popular and great day out.
