Emily’s colour palette is warm and vivid and filled with shades of orange, pink and yellow on this art coaster of Penrith Beacon. The morning sun rises on the horizon of Beacon Hill casting a beautiful glow of the ancient monument.
The foreground is made up of colourful wildflowers creating the impression of a field of flowers in bloom.

Penrith Beacon
is a Grade I listed building dating back to 1719. The historic landmark on Beacon Hill in Penrith can be seen for miles and on a clear day you can see across the Eden Valley towards the hills of the Lake District.
There has been a beacon on the summit high above the town of Penrith, Cumbria, since the 13th century. The square stone-built monument was part of a chain of beacons that ran through the Eden Valley to warn locals of an impending attack.
