Penrith Beacon framed ceramic tile has been designed from original artwork by North East artist Emily Ward. All ceramic tiles are printed and hand pressed in Emily's art studio, where she hand finishes every tile.
Emily’s colour palette is warm and vivid and filled with shades of orange, pink and yellow on this framed ceramic tile of Penrith Beacon. The morning sun rises on the horizon of Beacon Hill casting a beautiful glow of the ancient monument.

Penrith Beacon
is a Grade I listed building dating back to 1719. The historic landmark on Beacon Hill in Penrith can be seen for miles and on a clear day you can see across the Eden Valley towards the hills of the Lake District.
There has been a beacon on the summit high above the town of Penrith, Cumbria, since the 13th century. The square stone-built monument was part of a chain of beacons that ran through the Eden Valley to warn locals of an impending attack.
Ceramic Framed Tile
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
Frames are available in White and Black Frames.
