Shades of pink and blue create a calming but striking background for the temple to stand proudly amongst. Soft flowers and splashes of colour also add to the importance of the Monument.
About Penshaw Monument
Also known as the Earl of Durham’s Monument, Penshaw Monument is a replica of the Temple of Hephaestus in Athens. Considered as Wearside’s most beloved landmark, it is a 70 foot high temple and can be seen for miles around. It also appears on the badge of Sunderland Football Club.
Built in 1844, the Monument is now a Grade I listed building and is still a popular attraction to both locals and tourists.

Ceramic Framed Tile
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
Frames are available in White and Black Frames.
Each frame is 27 x 27 x 5cm
Colours may vary as each tile is printed individually.
