Roker Lighthouse Hanging Pendant Decoration
Roker Lighthouse Pendant has been created from original artwork by North East artist Emily Ward. This lovely hanging decoration has been hand pressed locally in her studio near Newcastle.
Emily can handwrite your message on the reverse of the pendant, just add your message to the order.
Emily has given the granite red stripes of Roker Lighthouse a warming bright glow.
Sea spray splashes in abundance over the historic pier and lighthouse on this art hanging ceramic pendant.

Roker Lighthouse
Roker Lighthouse
and pier in Sunderland have a Grade II listing. The red and grey granite working lighthouse is located at the end of the northern pier in the harbour and marks the entrance to the River Wear and Sunderland.
Originally opened in 1903 it was renowned to be a ‘ triumph of engineering’. Henry Hay Wake, the Chief Engineer of the River Wear Commission, designed, engineered and constructed Roker Pier.
There is a specially designed tunnel that runs along the length of the pier. The pier is 609 metres long. The tunnel was used so the lighthouse keeper could reach Roker Lighthouse in bad weather.
