Seaham Lighthouse greeting card is from local artist Emily Ward's beautiful range of North East art cards. This greeting card has been created from an original painting by Emily.
North sea waves break over the pier wall and cause sea spray to crash over the black and white lighthouse in Seaham harbour.
Emily's sky is filled with a gentle ripple of pink which swirls around behind the lighthouse creating a warming glow.

Seaham Lighthouse looks out over the North sea in County Durham and was built in 1905. Seaham simply means ‘homestead by the sea’ .
In the early 1820s plans to develop the port and harbour at Seaham were drawn up by the engineer William Chapman with some input from the architect John Dobson.
