Souter Lighthouse framed ceramic tile was made by talented local North East artist Emily Ward. The vivid white and red striped lighthouse stands out amongst the calm background.
A relaxing array of purple shades in the flowers and the sky helps illuminate Souter Lighthouse. Emily’s unique paint splashes also help create an uplifting feeling to the framed tile, which would look gorgeous in any room of your home.
About Souter Lighthouse
Souter Lighthouse was the first lighthouse in the world to be designed and built to be powered by electricity. Built in 1871, the hooped red and white lighthouse stands proud between the Tyne and the Wear rivers.
Nearby is also Marsden Bay, home to nesting animals like Kittiwakes and Cormorants. Souter Lighthouse was decommissioned in 1988 and is now owned by the National Trust.

Ceramic Framed Tile
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
Frames are available in White and Black Frames.
Each frame is 27 x 27 x 5cm
Colours may vary as each tile is printed individually.
