Souter Lighthouse keyring has been designed from a original painting by Emily Ward a local North East artist.
Emily has painted this striking red and white hooped lighthouse, as the sun is setting which casts a relaxing haze of lilacs and purples over it.

An iconic landmark in South Tyneside on the North East coast, Souter lighthouse
was opened in 1871. Standing proud over the rugged coastline, Souter Lighthouse was the first lighthouse in the world to be built to use alternating electric current; this was very advanced technology for its day.
