St Mary's Church, Nantwich
The 14th century St Mary’s Church is in the market town of Nantwich
, Cheshire. The building of the church commenced in 1280 and was completed in 1390, It is one of the finest examples of a medieval church in England.
The church was constructed from red limestone and has an octagonal tower.
Sir George Scott coordinated extensive restoration between 1855 and 1861 after a national collection raised funds for the work to be done.
