Sycamore Gap ceramic tile with easel - Autumn captures this iconic tree in full autumnal colours. Local North East artist Emily Ward was inspired to paint this iconic tree after a long walk through Northumberland National Park to visit it.
The rich burnt oranges, rusts and varying shades of these colours immediately draw you into this warm and cosy painting. The golden hint of the sun rising behind the tree adds depth to this picture. Imagine walking up the footpath to visit this famous tree nestled in a dramatic dip along Hadrian’s Wall.
