Sycamore Gap framed ceramic tile is a gorgeous painting by local North East artist Emily Ward. The night sky behind the Robin Hood Tree is painted with deep shades of purple and blue which adds mystery to the landscape.
In contrast to this, the cool blues of the hill highlight the silhouette of the tree with Emily’s unique paint splatters also adding an original effect.
About Sycamore Gap
Next to Hadrian’s Wall in Crag Lough, Sycamore Gap is one of the most photographed trees in the country.A dramatic dip in the landscape, with the Robin Hood tree won the 2016 Tree of the Year award.
It also features in a prominent scene in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Today, it is owned by the National Trust and is a popular tourist attraction. The location may be the most photographed place in all of the Northumberland National Parks.

The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
Frames are available in White and Black Frames.
Each frame is 27 x 27 x 5cm
Colours may vary as each tile is printed individually.
