Sycamore Gap Snow
Sycamore Gap Snow is a popular image painted by local North East artist Emily Ward. After a long walk through Northumberland National Park, Emily was inspired to recreate this tree in her artwork.
Capturing the famous tree throughout the seasonal transitions, Emily has really displayed it’s natural beauty wonderfully. Sycamore Gap in the snow has a real uplifting wintery feel, the pink and orange tones work gorgeously together.
The purple sky in this piece of North East art is angelic and eye-catching, accentuating the charm of Northumberland and the Sycamore Gap.
About Sycamore Gap
Nestled in a dramatic dip on Hadrian’s Wall near Crag Lough, you can see how this iconic tree has inspired a vast amount of Northumberland art. The warmer colours in Emily’s Sycamore Gap Snow framed ceramic tile would complement any wall in your home all year round.
Sometimes referred to as the Robin Hood tree after it was cast in the film Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, this charismatic tree creates an air of mystery. The bare branches have been delicately painted to look realistic yet artistic.

The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
