The Bowes Museum fridge magnet has been designed by Emily Ward, an artist from the North East. This art fridge magnet is locally hand pressed in Emily's art studio.
A relaxing array of pretty pink and purple flowers line the gardens of the delightful Bowes Museum on Emily's art fridge magnet. The dainty flowers have been splashed with a pop of colourful paint that blends into the swirling skyline.
Sunlight flickers off the glass in the arched windows casting golden tones over the stonework on this historic building.

The Bowes Museum is a hidden treasure, the magnificent building stands proud in the historic market town of Barnard Castle in County Durham.
In 1847 John Bowe, a successful businessman with an interest in the arts travelled to Paris. He bought a theatre and met his future wife, a Parisian actress called Joséphine Coffin-Chevallier. Joséphine. She was a talented amateur painter who was interested in a whole range of art forms including paintings, ceramics, furniture and textiles.
Together the couple began to develop the idea of creating a world-class museum in John’s ancestral home of Teesdale in the North East so that they could introduce the wider world of art to the local people. It was designed with the collaboration of two architects, one from France and one from Newcastle.
