The Mill, Fountains Abbey open edition art print has been created by North East artist Emily Ward from original artwork. This mini print is on a antique white mount and can also be framed for you.
The historic Mill looks very peaceful as it reflects over the stillness of the water. The purple tones of the sky add to the tranquillity of this lovely art print of Fountains Abbey.
Dainty little daisies cover the grassy fields in front of the old stone building.

Fountains Abbey near Ripon in North Yorkshire is one of the largest and best preserved ruined Cistercian monasteries in England.
Fountains Mill is the oldest building on the estate and dates back to the 12th century. Built by Cistercian monks to grind grain for the monastery. There was two waterwheels installed, which were run from a leat taken from the Rover Skell.
With a long history, the building has also been a monastic granary, a timber sawmill, a home for refugees and a mason’s workshop.
The mill operated until 1927 when it was closed down. It was restored in 2001 and now has an interactive exhibition.
