Tyne Bridge Ceramic tile with easel is a lovely tile created by local North East artist Emily Ward. Emily has chosen to set this most famous of bridges against a backdrop of warm floral colours.
In Emily’s picture this iconic bridge stands proud against a dusty pink sky which has soft hints of purple glimmering throughout. Tiny yet colourful delicate flowers surround the Tyne Bridge adding a different perspective to this local landmark on the River Tyne.
This Tyne Bridge ceramic tile would make a lovely addition to any home.
About The Tyne Bridge
One of seven bridges crossing the River Tyne, it links both Newcastle and Gateshead. Enjoy the view from Newcastle Quayside of this icon of a bridge.
The Tyne Bridge is a major part of The Great North Run when 52,000 runners pass over the bridge with the Red Arrows flying over it.
The Tyne Bridge was designed by an engineering firm from Middlesbrough, who later designed both the Forth Road Bridge and Sydney Harbour Bridge. When it opened in 1928 it was the world's longest single span bridge.
