Tyne Bridge - Framed Ceramic Tile

This beautiful Tyne Bridge framed ceramic tile is by local artist Emily Ward and features both the symbolic bridge and the River Tyne.

The orange and pink of the rising sunrise contrasts with the dark colours of the bridge structures and the cars. Comparing the bleak traffic to the pretty colours of the new day appearing.

The Tyne Bridge is a reminder of home to many, and a symbol of the connection between Newcastle and Gateshead, which would look perfect in any room of your own home.

About the Tyne Bridge

The Tyne Bridge is the most celebrated and most iconic of the seven bridges crossing the River Tyne. The designer also designed the Sydney Harbour Bridge, opening three years later in 1932.

One of the most well-known parts of the Tyne Bridge is the annual Great North Run as 52,000 runners pass over the bridge accompanied by the Red Arrows.

Some say the Tyne Bridge is a symbol of Tyneside’s industrial past and its recent re-generation, featured on many films and TV shows.

Emily Ward has an extensive range of the Tyne Bridge painting, which would be a perfect North East gift, which can be found HERE.

Ceramic Framed Tile

Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.

The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.

Frames are available in White and Black Frames.

Each frame is 27 x 27 x 5cm

Colours may vary as each tile is printed individually.
