Whitby Abbey for nearly 700 years has towered high on a clifftop overlooking Whitby in North Yorkshire. This splendid 13th-century Gothic abbey is steeped in history and was originally founded in 657AD by the Saxon King of Northumbria. Henry VIII confiscated the abbey to in 1540.
Bram Stoker was so inspired by the gothic ruins in 1890 he created Dracula and set part of it at the abbey.
Ceramic Framed Tile
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
Frames are available in White and Black Frames.
