York Minster is the 2nd largest Gothic cathedral in Northern Europe. The Gothic style church was designed to be the greatest cathedral in the kingdom. It took over 250 years, between 1220 and 1472.
The East Window is home to the largest expanse of stained mediaeval glass in Britain. There is over 300 panels fitted to this 15th century window.
